Jagex 1st ment runescape to be a free game and no fat kid from the US that thinks hes awesome cause hes got to lv 120 can make me think different.

Hahaha… memberships is worth it up to a point. i mean, when u finished everything, all ur skills are at 99, all the quests are done, all the god’s generals and dragons are dead, i wish something would pop up and congratulate you. My one month of membership was great. i didn’t even pay for it. the idiot hacker who “attempted” to steal my account did hahaha go recoveries. it just gets confusing at first being a member cuz you don’t know anything and a lot of things kinda rush out at you. during my membership, i was forced to do about 50 quests to
1. weild a dragon long and scimmy
2. play barrows (which got me owned)
3. do 4 quests to finish a clue scroll =[ and get like 3k out of it
4. get to the barbarian outpost
5. (not really a quest needed but) visit and take a picture of me getting eaten by a mith dragon
6. take on and somehow beat the steel dragons !
yeahh… it kinda hurt my head having to do all these quests to access the new areas

I’m thinking that some people *cough*swordkid*cough* need to read things a little more thoroughly…

I’m getting member for the first time this week, and I’m really excited. It’s really not expensive at all, and there’s just so much more to do. As a free member, there are 8 or 9 different cities and towns that you can go to, while a member can visit 3 or 4 times as many. One of the cities alone is bigger than all of the free cities combined. There’s just so many more things to do, and a fewer nooblettes running around to ruin your game. It’s worth the whole 6 bucks a month to play it.

i agree i would rather have something i get in the game and real life out of this i mean like u get a letter from em and they give u a code to get a real awsome weapon or something

You know, being an F2P player since the beginning, I think that it’s just stupid to pay money for an online that you won’t get any real-life items out of. So maybe if you got a T-shirt, some toys, maybe a few comics or even a monthly magazine, I would think that buying this would be worth it.

I have always had that theory…

Until last month. I was getting bored visiting the same old places, fighting the same old monsters, and not being able to farm, fletch, steal, and get all that cool member stuff and skills! So I finally decided: it’s about 6 bucks a month; I have 20 bucks, I might as well make a few more bucks and buy 4 months of a membership. So I’m really looking forward to this.

The point is that if it’s cheap, if it offers so many bonuses that you can’t seem to take your eyes off of, even if you get no tangible items whatsoever, just go for it.

Not to mention that many helpful guides you can find online are only for members -.- (and yes, these are actually guides that give you pointers and tell you what you might be able to do; they don’t tell you flat-out what to do).
