Runescape Easter Eggs
Runescape Easter eggs were dropped on Easter Day in 2002. Although, Runescape has had other "Easter egg" drops, none of them can compare to the very first ones. In the exchange, one Easter egg is worth around 6,000,000 coins. These special eggs were dropped randomly and players advised those who had them to handle them only in noted form to prevent accidental eating. The players knew they were rare and valuable. The scene during 2002 was one that many players remember to this day. One of the largest Easter Egg Hunts in history only in a game instead of out in a field like in real life.

Eating one of these eggs by accident is indeed a sad thing today, yet very common. It is why they are so much money. These eggs are vastly becoming extinct. Who knows if there will even be any in the days, months, and years to come.
Many other eggs have shown themselves in the past 6 years. (Note: these are not to be mistaken for the valuable eggs.) In the 2005 and 2006 years, the eggs were given to other players and NPC's. To get your item, you had to deliver them. In the 2007 event , the eggs were used as bowling balls to crush the "chocolate kebbits" into chocolate chunks. The examine words were "a rolling egg gathers no moss" This is a reference to the old saying” a rolling stone gathers no moss ". These eggs came in four different colors and patterns, which were Yellow with a circle, Blue with dots, Red with waves, and Green with stripes.

The year of 2008 brought the Easter bunny yet again and this time he was in deep trouble (as usual for the Easter bunny.) This time you had to go on an Easter egg hunt for at least three
Easter eggs (out of 5 or 6 stashed around Falador) and bring them back to him. Then they work in a little fun by turning you into a bunny and using the new "summoning" skill to tell your little chocolate bird to turn rats, spiders, etc… into chocolate chunks. Then you had to melt them in a chocolate furnace so he could make chocolate eggs! After you had enough, the Easter Bunny would ask if you would like to do it again and he would give you a second reward. This reward was a chocolate egg. (This year was about the same, four different designs and patterns, two were the same, and the other two were yellow with a sort of fire rune pattern and pure pink.

That's about it for Runescape Easter eggs up until today. Who knows what will happen in the future. Will the original eggs eventually become extinct? Will any of the other eggs ever grow to be as expensive? Will there be some new egg that will create a wave of envy over any player who didn't have one? Only time will tell.
I almost forgot to tell you about the coolest egg of all, You! On Easter 2006, you got an item called an Easter Ring. This magical ring can turn you into an Easter egg! That's right, and if that is not enough, the color changes each time you do it! Still not enough? Well unlike the capes that came in 2008, you get to stay an Easter egg until you decide to stop. (Or, you are
attacked by some Easter egg hater.)
Let's wait and see what is cooked up for the Easter's coming. If you have an Easter egg, I would suggest holding on to it as they are very rare and may in the near future we worth more money even to those Easter egg haters.
