How to Make Money in Runescape
There are thousands upon thousands of ways to make money in Runescape. Some methods work well, others, not so well. Some methods bring in so little money that I don't even consider them a way to make money. Others, how ever, can make loads of money and fast. That is what everyone looks for, isn't it? How to make a lot of money in little time. Well, as you know, I have spent years in Runescape and I have heard a load of different theories of Runescape.
With all of these Theories, you can't help but make your own. I have, in fact, developed some really great methods, tested AND used by me. The methods you will be reading are methods that I know work. (and no, it's not going to be the same information used over and over, such as the cowhides.)
Methods to make money in Runescape
One of the most basic and rewarding methods I can think of is what I like to call hording. It can be applied to Fishing, Mining, Wood Cutting, Runecrafting, and many more. Let's say you want to apply it to fishing. So, you begin fishing, As you gain levels, you also gain a lot of raw fish. You keep storing all this raw fish into the bank. Most of the lower level fish is not going to bring a good profit. Lobsters bring a great profit, Swordfish even more, and sharks a lot more. So, after you reach level 76 you can then fish sharks, but what's this? Your bank is full of thousands of Tuna, Lobsters, Swordfish and the rest! So, now you sell. You sell your whole stock of fish, you should have a nice pile of money by now. It can take a long time to make money, but if you stick at it you will be rich in no time.
Most methods will take a lot of time. As for the 'quick' methods, these usually do NOT work. To get rich, you have to be determined. So if you are looking for super insanely instant money than I am afraid you are going to end up with dead ends everywhere. No money in Runescape is fast, some are faster than others, but for the most part it is going to take hard work to make money. All the pros on Runescape had to work for what they got. So, if you want to be a Pro as well, then work hard. If you work hard for a long time, eventually you can stop and just sit back and enjoy what you have. After you have money, you can then work on your construction level (if you're a member that is..) and when it's high enough, you can have a HUGE mansion of a home.
I am going to list some methods really fast without going into detail, taking you step by step will just bore you, and I believe that the best way to make money is to make a method your own. That is what I did.
1. Yew Longs:
I suggest you have these stats:
Crafting: 10
Runecrafting: 44
Mining: 1
Magic: 55
Fletching: 70
Woodcutting: 60
Now, just make a lot of yew longs and high alch them. Or, simply sell all the items needed to make them.. Here is your Outcome:
High Alchemy + 2,000 Yew Longs = 1,360,000 gp
or
2,000 Bowstrings = 400,000 gp
2,000 Flax = 200,000 gp
2,000 Natures = 440,000 gp
2,000 Yews = 660,000 gp
Total = 1,700,000 gp
Selling all the items is a little more money, and using the Grand Exchange can help you find buyers.
2. Flax:
Just pick 1000 flax, sell for 100 ea. Easy eh?
1000 Flax X 100 = 100K gp
3. Bowstrings:
Either buy or pick 1000 Flax, then spin them into Bowstrings. Sell for 180-200 ea.
1000 Bowstrings X 200 = 200K gp (If you bought them your profit would be 100K.)
4. Cutting Maples: 1000 Maple Logs X 100 ea = 100K gp
5. Cutting Magics: 1000 Magic Logs X 1000 = 1M gp
6. Cutting Willows:
1000 Willow Logs X 30 = 30K gp
7. Steel Bars: (Need 2000 coal and 1000 iron ores.) - 1000 Steel Bars X 500 = 500K gp
8. Iron Ores: 1000 Iron Ores X 50 = 50K gp
I could go on and on with methods, as you can see, I have a lot. These were just very basic ones that I know work.
What's Wrong with Buying Gold?
Some players buy gold from websites. I DO NOT think this is right. For one, it's ILLEGAL. It goes against the rules of Jagex and no doubt, if you are caught you WILL be banned. Jagex monitors what goes on in their game.
Don't you think it is a bit obvious that you bought gold when someone random that you just met hands you millions? OF COURSE! Pretty easy to get banned isn't it? It is a lot better to make the money yourself, without the risk of loosing an account, and even better is the feeling you get after you know you did it yourself. I know a lot of people out there agree with me. Cheating in any form should not be in this game. That is why Jagex tries real hard to stop these cheaters.
I have reported several websites that I have found claiming to sell Runescape Gold. Jagex is not trying to be mean by setting these rules, they are trying to keep the game fair and look out for their players. Are you really going to trust your credit card information with someone who SAYS he is going to give you money in game? I don't know about you but I think that is down right scary! Jagex has their rules for a good reason, every one of them! Therefore, if you're thinking of buying Runescape gold, I suggest you stop and think for a moment. Is this really how you want to make money in Runescape? To me, it's not even making money! It's more like cheating! Think of all the people out their that work hard just to see someone get millions of gold without having to work a second. Yeah, think about that before you buy Runescape Gold.
People who use cheats are lazy and should not play the game in the first place. Working for what you have is half the fun. (And showing off is the other half. Haha.) Happy Playing.

K here it is merchanting is a great way to make money but its kind of boring… i prefer woodcutting, mining, and fishing. Being i don’t like to get bored in a game I like to go from each skill so i get 1k of yew in about a week thats 450k Being 95 mining i prefer to mine about 1k of reunite ore it crazy money i had 1k of it before it went 7k up thats around 7 mil for doing nothing =0 i GET 1k of reunite in a week switching world and going to the best ruite spots. Reunite is rune ore so i get around 17 mil but i don’t do this much. Because its often boring and i don’t smith nothing because i lose money K of to fishing i love it i get to talk to ppl friendly its awesome im 90 fishing being so i like to catch swords.
They around 500 gp raw it takes me aroung 1 week to get 1k so that around 500k a week so lets add this all up i get around 18 mil every 3 weeks to add to this blog mining is a hardcore money maker as u see but u will decrease your profits if u smith it i think that kind of mesed up u mine a gold ore 450 gp smith it u get 120gp back whats the point i think jagex shold cange this cooks out there i feel ur pain u make no money cooking my friend lostb 7 mil geting 99 cooking u shold make money for a skill not lose it.
would u pay more for a raw food u have to cook or pay more for what u dont jagex shold make it fair by swithcing. The prices lost around like cuting gems or making jewerley so maybe u lose 200 gp making something better u gain. Tell me is there a way u can cook ,craft,or smith without losing money

Lol. Some rich guy. but he is right. You should mine Runite (or rune shall I say) and then just mine it because I just checked today and it is like a little bit over 18k per ore. Or you can kill jungle spiders near Yannile (because it is safer there) and collect and sell their Carcass (something like that) or you can go to Nardah and kill goats and collect their goat horns, grind them to dust and sell them on the G.E. So, well their you have it! Or you can just kill stuff.

I am fairly new to Runescape and am also ftp(for now anyway) and the two best ways I level up AND make money are-between levels 1-30 kill cows and sell the hides- and-between levels 31-highest level I suggest going to the G.E. and buying a brass key, then going to the giant cave right beside the G.E. and fighting giants (level 28) then you can level up prayer or sell the bones from 300+ gp also limpwurt roots from 900+gp thats how I am slowly but surely leveling up and making money (been playing for 1 month and level 51 with two pieces of rune armor) Hope this helped

1-kill goblins Cows or if a member Collet seaweed, goblin mails sell for 45gp Cowhides 89gp and seaweed make it to soda ash and sell it for 310gp ea! im a lvl 54 in 3 weeks of training and i have full zamorak and also 2.3 mil!!!

I know an easy way to become rich for beginners. Go to Port Sarim with min 2k gold. buy chocolate and deposit it until u’ll run out of gold. when that happens, sell at G.E. the chocloate bought for 20 gold/piece for 100 gold/piece. Here are results of this operation:
20 gp -> 100 gp
100 gp -> 500 gp
500 gp -> 2500 gp
2500 gp -> 12500 gp
12500 gp -> 62500 gp
62500 -> 312,5 k gp (= 312500 gp)
etc.

Lol, you all have pretty descent ways of making money, but the best way by far to make money in runescape is to kill Aviansies in the Godwars Dungeon. This is members only, but you make about 450k per hour. To kill aviansies, you either need to kill them with prayer on, or you need to wear descent armor with ranged attack bonus and also have good defence bonus, along with 60+ defence level and 70+ ranged level. If you are going to kill them with prayer, wear monk robes, any mitre, armadyl pendant ( from temple of ikov quest), rune crossbow with mithril or broad bolts, any god book, climbing boots, ring of wealth or explorers ring 3, black d’hide vambraces, and ava’s accumilator.
If you are tanking them, it is recomended you wear archer helm torag’s helm or rune full helm, black d’hide body, armadyl pendant (from temple of ikov quest), torag’s legs or rune legs, climbing boots or snakeskin boots, ava’s accumilator, rune crossbow with mithril or broad bolts, granite shield or saradomin kiteshield, and zamorak bracers. You also need to bring bones to peaches if you are tanking.
For both methods of killing aviansies, you need to wear at all times your armadyl pendant. You also need to wear something of zamorak and something of saradomin. Aviansies drop items such as addy bars (4 of them noted), rune daggers p(+), runes, herbs, rune limbs and level 3 clue scrolls. Be sure to bring high level alchemy runes with you to alch the daggers and limbs you collect.

ok it iz me again kill moss and hill giantz and get their big bonez repeat,and repeat until u hav over 200 big bonez sell them for 400-500gp each wich meanz ull get
80,000 for selling them for 400gp
or
100,000 for selling them for 400gp

Hey yall there is a better way to make money. If u r a mem u can kill drags= Good money, you get around 2k per bone and 1.7k for the green drag hides. Bring a games necklace so you can teleport to the bounty hunter and clan wars.Recomended that u have ranged of atleast 50. In just 1 trip of picking up the hides and bones you get 47k per trip.

i have found that an easy way to make money for F2P is to mine and smith. once you get to lvl 30 smith you can smith steel bars and they sell for like 625gp a bar. im a lvl 65 miner and in an hour i get about 300 coal and 150 iron making 150 steel bars.
150×625= 93,750gp.
not bad for an hour or so worth of work.
only problem is is it doesnt train combat skills.
but its great if you need armor or weapons for fighting and need money to buy them

you ppl dont know anything lmao 450K per hour is nothing, il give you one of my methods(cosider yourselves lucky) this requires at least 44 runecraft, and 57 summoning “if you dont have the reqs dont be a noob and cry about it just train them up” and this method will get you around 1.4M per hour
ok just buy a bounch or pure ess and spirit ghakks pouchs and use the familiar to tele you to alter wen you are there get assist from a lvl 91+ runecrafter(you must be in a nature running world) and make 2X the nat then tele to castle wars bank with ring of dueling and repeat prosess.

i need help…but not with money i already know the secret to that lol i might tell you if you help me with something. i am forming a clan/team to help others in runescape by doing many things
1.) cracking rumours
2.) forming monster killing groups
3.) not merchanting its hard as it is and in a group dividing the money can get hard
4.) to make runescape a richer place

Hi. Iv’e played runescape a little over a year now (granted my first account was stolen but…) im still poor but one way i found that works for members is to go in the dungeon right by edgeville and go find the chaos druid’s. get all the herbs they drop until you have about 100 of each! it brings in good money! in 3 trips i had more than enough money to buy an obsidian cape!

ok, i know a way to make money on runescape without having any skill…. go to the grand tree gnome stronghold and then go to swamp in there. get a full inventory of toads! -gasp- lol they’re worth over 13k for each inventory. just keep clicking on the respawn points and in 1 minute you can get a full inventory! bank inside the tree then repeat! my way is the best around 2 mil a day!
